The Jewish Volunteer Ambulance Corps (JVAC) is a community-based volunteer organization whose mission is saving lives in South Florida by delivering rapid, expert emergency medical care to all through our volunteer-driven team, collaborating with local hospitals and emergency services, and empowering communities with life-saving education to enhance health and resilience.
JVAC’s role is to stabilize patients and, depending on the level of care needed, assist professional emergency medical crews.
Our service, based on highly successful volunteer operations in Israel and elsewhere, is designed to provide an emergency patient care bridge until a fully licensed and authorized governmentally operated ambulance can arrive. We do not transport patients. For that, we rely on the highly professional and skilled crews serving our area.
JVAC provides care at no cost to all who are in need, regardless of race, religion, or ethnicity.
