The Jewish Volunteer Ambulance Corps (JVAC) is a community-based volunteer organization whose mission is to improve medical outcomes for patients by enhancing existing pre-hospital emergency medical services in South Florida.
JVAC’s role is to stabilize patients and, depending on the level of care needed, assist professional emergency medical crews.
Our service, based on highly successful volunteer operations in Israel and elsewhere, is designed to provide an emergency patient care bridge until a fully licensed and authorized governmentally operated ambulance can arrive. We do not transport patients. For that we rely on the highly professional and skilled crews serving our area. JVAC provides care at no cost to all who are in need, regardless of race, religion, or ethnicity.
